Our Story
Founded in 1999, Palace Imports believes quality furniture should be beautifully designed, thoughtfully made, and accessible to everyday families. We began importing our exclusively designed furniture from Southern Brazil in 2004 and have since expanded our collections to include solid pine furniture from Brazil, solid European oak furniture from Poland, and handwoven natural rattan furniture from Malawi.
Our Brazilian furniture is crafted from 100% solid pine sourced from environmentally responsible, renewable tree farms in Southern Brazil—never MDF or particleboard. The pine is carefully kiln-dried to help minimize warping, splitting, and shrinking, preserving the strength, warmth, and natural character of real wood.
Our European oak furniture is handcrafted in Poland from 100% solid European hardwood oak sourced from responsibly managed forests. FSC-certified oak is carefully kiln-dried for strength and stability, while skilled Polish craftsmanship and time-honored woodworking techniques give each piece the durability and natural character of genuine hardwood furniture. Our solid oak furniture contains no MDF or particleboard.
Our African rattan collection is handwoven in Malawi using natural rattan, dried palm leaves, and solid hardwood. Each piece is individually handcrafted by skilled artisans, bringing the distinctive texture, character, and tradition of Malawian craftsmanship into the home. Ethically produced to support local communities, our rattan collection promotes fair-trade practices and responsible craftsmanship while helping preserve the skills and traditions of local artisans.
Across our collections, we carefully select materials and finishes with both quality and the home environment in mind. Our painted Brazilian furniture uses tested, water-based, low-VOC, lead-free finishes, and our furniture is tested to meet applicable Consumer Product Safety Commission requirements. Our color-matching process helps maintain consistency across coordinating pieces, making it easier to create a cohesive look throughout the home.
Quality is central to everything we do. Our dedicated quality-control team inspects production batches to help ensure our standards are consistently maintained.
